Project description:
ART Engineering Inc. has been retained by Victoria Capital Corp as the structural engineer of record for the design and construction review of a nine (9) story apartment building located at 2225 St. Laurent, in Ottawa, Ontario. The project maximizes the use of the lot with the addition of approximately 120 units, complete with three levels of underground parking.
AEI services included:
Provide input during the preliminary design stage with regards to the structural system and coordination with other disciplines for a conceptual design.
Preliminary sizing of floor slabs, SFRS Lateral systems, foundations, and structural budgeting.
Preparation of a detailed structural design package and coordinating permitting process.
Review of constructability and adjusting design as required for facilitation of excavation shoring.
