Senior Structural Engineer

Art Engineering Inc. (AEI) is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Kingston, Ontario. Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 (Additional years of experience for experienced applicants will be considered for an increased salary range)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete structural analyses, calculations, and designs for a variety of projects
  • Prepare structural drawings and technical reports for projects, while peer reviewing the work of fellow team members
  • Conduct site inspections and field reviews
  • Manage communications with contactors, clients, subconsultants, and internal teams throughout projects while strengthening professional relationships
  • Manage projects to ensure schedule milestones and budget constraints are met
  • Draft structural drawings and write technical reports
  • Correspond / communicate with contractors and clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Ontario (ideally with structural rehabilitation, restoration and/or maintenance projects)
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant local standards and codes (OBC, NBCC, MTO Manuals, etc.)
  • Moderate level of proficiency in AutoCAD
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid ‘G’ driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for travel to project sites Professional Engineer Designation (P.Eng) issued by Professional Engineers of Ontario
