A level crossing is an intersection where railroad tracks cross a roadway at the same level. In Canada, there are approximately 37,000 level crossings. After a fatal level crossing accident took place in our firm’s home city of Ottawa in 2013, AEI decided to invest heavily in research and development to find a more efficient and cost-effective construction procedure to eliminate dangerous level crossings. After over a year of researching and developing, we finally filed our first patent for our brand new technology.
