Art Engineering Inc. (AEI) is currently seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to initiate our company's presence in Western Ontario. The successful candidate will fulfill the role of an Junior Engineer and EIT, working remotely with a team of Senior Structural Engineers. This role will involve remote office work and will require site inspections to be conducted in the City of Edmonton.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete structural analyses, calculations, and designs for a variety of projects
• Prepare structural drawings and technical reports for projects under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Conduct site inspections and field reviews
• Communicate directly with clients and contractors

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in transportation facility projects
• Moderate level of proficiency in AutoCAD
• Moderate to High level of proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for travel to project sites

Additional Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience in engineering and/or construction in Alberta
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant local standards and codes
